Magical Squares
In a Magic Square, the rows, columns, and diagonals sum to the same number. Strictly speaking, these
squares aren't "Magic Squares", but they're still Magical! Each row and column has a different sum,
and you must place the numbers in the square to make those sums.
Game Instructions
In a Magic Square, all the rows, columns, and diagonals add to the same number. In these squares (which are not quite MAGIC squares),
you don't need to worry about diagonals. In addition, each column and row adds to different numbers. So, it's not really a magic square, but it
provides the same problem solving experience as solving a Magic Square.
You will see a square grid (Easy = 2x2, Moderate = 3x3, and Challenge = 4x4). Next to each row is a box indicating the sum for that row.
Under each column is a number indicating the sum for that column.
Beneath the square is the set of numbers which you must use to fill in the blanks in the game grid. Simply click and drag a square to its
destination with your mouse, and then release it over the appropriate square. When you drop a square, the "total" square for that row and column
will be updated to indicate how much more you must add to that row and column. For example, if the sum for the first row is supposed to be 17,
and you drop a five in the first row, the "total" value will change from 17 to 12, indicating that the two remaining squares
must total 12.
When you have a complete solution, all the "totals" will show zero, and the game is complete!
