Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction

"This is what came at the moment, even if it's not only an exact description. Sometimes I can't help what pops up."
Spring
Spring! At first, you were my youth
with a destabilizing force,
opening up in breezy green,
for me, a dancer
in first position, snapping
my heels together
under the limelight of a sweet sun,
to sway in tandem with
the hyacinths and the tulips.
Little did I know,
outside my mild comfort zone,
time would flare up
together with the roses
and my red stilettos.
Could the whole thing
be a fraud with fragrance?
But no, the first rose was real
and the cherry tomatoes
bounced on the stem
to add to the grand design
of youth, pledging
eternity before the exit.
And now, with a flimsy hope
I plead:
”Warm me once more
after this cold.”
