"A bassoon is a German musical instrument for those that didn't know. And I play more instruments but this is the main one."
Bassoon
The golden wood glistens under the lights,Oddly shaped yet produces a deep sound.
Gentle to the ears but played with great might,
The audience is musically bound.
To learn to conquer this takes patient skills,
The emotional challenge can be rough.
The difficulty inspires my will,
To achieve satisfaction can be tough.
Peaceful waves of sound cut me to the core,
Taking my soul to the depths of my being.
After all who could ask for more?
Than the grace of knowing your true meaning.
As day becomes night my bassoon must rest,
So that the next day I can play my best.
