Proposal
Events will never turn out like they 're plannedI see the look of shock upon your face
as I kneel down to ask you for your hand
I wish that I had picked a better place
my heart is beating loudly in my chest
My voice is disappearing without trace
As nervous as at any oral test
Please will you marry me I softly said
I felt my fingers being slowly pressed
Across her face a smile then slowly spread
as to my feet again I quickly stand
She answers yes as tears of joy are shed
And at that timely moment cue the band
while dreams of future happiness are planned
