The Diamond jubilee celebration
sixty years since our Queens coronation
with barges in procession down the thames
street parties planned with food and drinks and games

The forecast here is for a day of rain
drizzle drips a dampener once again
drumbeats of downpours cross the daytime sky
but used to weather, Britain will get by.
