Contentment

Fear and regret do fill her life with pain
The chances she wasted,never again
At night, sleep eludes , thoughts of the past
blame, loss and bitterness, feelings that last


Thoughts of the lottery, hopes for a win
To buy a new car,take it for a spin
or a holiday somewhere, sea and sun
new friends,new life , more excitement and fun

Contentment's not found in future or past
Live in the present for joy that will last
moments of happiness often abound
Awaiting our consciousness to be found.
