Strange Creatures - Part One

To my surprise, before my eyes
a creature did appear.
at first a head, with hair so red
and eyes so bright and clear

At two feet tall, upon the wall
it jumped into my sight
his nose was flat, his tummy fat
It gave me such a fright

It softly croons the strangest tunes
that crept inside my head
I quickly felt my fears all melt
and woke up in my bed

Was this a dream, it did not seem
as dreams, in shades of grey
I felt so good as if I could
do anything that day.
