A graveyard silent, dead from many wars
no longer fighting for a worthy cause
now overgrown, here lie forgotten men
time has diminished what was vital then
no longer will they suffer pain and fear
as grass grows tall,red poppies spread each year
as drops of blood each man has sadly shed
like natures balm remembering the dead
