Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction
The following is a piece of writing submitted by BDKatze on March 10, 2012
"This is just some random nonsense that came to mind. After making friends like these, my sleep has never been worse... and my life better.
Keep in mind that I stuck to the fifteen minute thing and so it ends rather abruptly."

Morning Prompt: What a Night/Day
So I woke up the other day at a quarter to five(in the morning, though the evening is quite conceivable for a lazy college girl like me) with two faces leering down at me and two high-pitched tones going, "Get up, get up, get up!"Now, you've got to remember, I fell asleep at around three in the morning--yes, on the same day. Two hours of sleep after an emotionally-packed evening in which most of my friends were elected to the Hostel Council--and one wasn't. And all the elected ones were running around being emotional wrecks in anticipation of the emotional wreck that should have been the unelected one. Only she wasn't an emotional wreck. She landed up at her room--where I was camping out on her bed to offer solace--at three in the morning, told me to, and I quote, "Go to sleep, baby," and left again. Two hours later, she and another friend of mine were back. And they woke me from my peaceful slumber and dragged me out to a mess, i.e. a sort of canteen place with no place to sit and no sense of hygiene(but great food). Well, I'd had enough of it. Except she said she was 'celebrating her loss' and so I felt that I had to support her.
This is my slightly sad but quite different story. Thank you.
