Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction
The following is a piece of writing submitted by Mirna Arabi on March 25, 2012
The Window
She gazed at her windowWaiting for her love return
Every noise she seems to hear
She ran to the door, but no one is there,
Didn't recognize days nor time
While her eyes still staring outside
A pretty face she has, with glittering eyes
Hoping to see her beloved just for once,
A sudden noise was heard
She went to reach the door
Man with old face, grey hair
Full of memories, stood there,
With a look of fear, she shut the door
Shouting "my love is young and strong
He'll be back any minute now
So it's better for you to go home".
