The need to stand out
I'd like to leave my tracesa trail through time and space
something to be remembered by
when I have left this maze
A hunger for achievement
a need for standing out
an urge, a strong desire
for I can't do without
But if the pieces of the puzzle
all would be screaming loud
Look at me. I'm very special!
none of them stands out
It is the quiet piece
of blue and empty sky
that first gets my attention
is first picked up to try
Only a quiet background
will make something stand out
It might be more important
than all that screams so loud
