"In yesterday's photography class we had to make portraits of each other. I didn't like to be portrayed but was amazed to see a picture of myself through someone else's eyes, which are less judging than my own. "
The woman in the mirror
The woman in the mirroris not what I'd like
to see. It doesn't fit
with my image of me.
How difficult can
it be to accept this is the face
my colleagues see
and do accept as
being me
I strive for perfection
my faults magnified
to cover what else
there might be. So what
I'm looking for is all
that's not me.
The woman in the mirror
the woman I see
is the negative picture
of what I must be
