Did You Come Here....

I wrote this one yesterday. The song itself was written trying a different style of songwriting that I am not accustomed to. In this case, I had the music written, but no lyrics or melody line for the lyrics. The idea of this style of songwriting is to let the song write itself. So, I played the song on the guitar while trying to come up with a melody line for the vocals by simply making "word" sounds. After I came up with a melody line, I took one of the words and turned it into a phrase. From there I wrote about the phrase. In this case, the phrase was "Did You Come Here..."

I think it would be super cool if you guys would try writing this same song in your own way. Use the same "hook" phrase of "Did you come here..." then write the rest of it on your own. I think it would be great. Any takers?

Verse 1:

Last night a strong black wind was blowing cold
And I felt a dark ice chill try to take hold
Making me empty inside.....
Buried Alive

Chorus:

And did you come here just to blow me away
Did you come here with more to say
Did you come here with evil intent
I'm just not sure what you meant
Did you come here....

Verse 2:

Yeah I know you are here again
And yeah I know you are still with him
And I've heard all about your high class life

Than it did with you around
