Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction

"I blame my bad poetry on my lack of concentration to write for more than a few minutes"
Small Town
He lives hereHe lives just a couple blocks away
I see him nearly every day of the year
In the small town with a cozy name.
How could you live without
Familiar faces on every street?
I couldn't live without a now
And a then with these memories.
I don't know where to go
Well I'll go sit down by the lake
So up the sun, or hide from the snow
knowing every face
That walk by here
That lives in my heart
The uncrowded nature
The unexplored part.
Can't you come with me?
Know the truth of being small town raised
Writing words on a ruined sheet.
Singing away the days.
