Going for a Swim
Swimming. Just forward. Me and water. In a serene ocean. Nothing else but us together. My mind feels the waves against my pale skin as I thrust- one, two- my body forward- three, four- towards the shore- one, two- where I will lay my head- three, four- on the warm, moist sand. A woman laughs by my side, floating on her back, her revealed belly soaking in the warm rays of daylight. I can feel the constant struggle as the salty waves cool my face, and the sun violently barrages its delicate layers. However, the water forces my face down into the water as I move onward, the salt caking my eyes in a pain that lets me know I am alive. I am truly alive.More writing by this author
