My Mind
Sometimes it just sings,Sometimes it is so quiet.
Sometimes it is depressed,
but lights up at your sight.
“Get some work done”, I say
“So much to do, Are you blind?”
“F**k you and your work,
She is more important”, replies my mind.
Each of my day begins
and ends with you.
If that wasn’t enough,
it even dreams about you.
It gets super-excited describing,
your eyes, your smile, your habits!
It brings back your memories,
even when I don’t ask for it.
“What if she leaves us?
And never comes back!”
I try to scare my mind,
And bring it on track.
“You’ll be devastated,
and agonising in pain.
So before it is too late,
Get a hold on yourself again.”
It was quiet for a while,
Maybe considering my sentence, that’s why
But I knew I lost my mind
When it finally did reply
“A devotee worships his deity,
not to be together.
Just the same way she makes my happy,
That’s why I indulge in her.
She made my life wonderful,
gave me a reason to live, a reason to smile.
Asking for more is too greedy and unkind
I will love her forever in my own style”
