"I haven't written a haiku since the 7th grade so hopefully these aren't too bad. I had to fight the urge to rhyme everything but overall I'm happy with them. This is my first submission on this website so I hope you all like it!"
7 Christmas Haiku
When children are leadWaiting for man in red sled
Till sleep arrives in bed

Trees full of color
With smells of baked goods galore
White snow falls once more

Time passes the same
When you don’t commemorate
Yet you feel the joy

School bell chimes the end
Lights blaze as they all come in
To meet your lost friends
____________________________
Nostalgia in air
Sameness runs its clear course
And come to an end
____________________________
Tamed red nosed wonder taps
Soft in lead of his brothers
To stop for those pure

As pen touch paper
All the kids frown and cry when
Still on the wrong list
