A quiet snowfall
It drifts so silently to the ground
It crashes towards earth in a hectic, chaotic dance
It cuts through the madness of our daily lives
With its deafening silence
It mutes the hum of our routine
With its roaring stillness
Our lives halt
And we watch
The snow tumbles downwards
Free falling, careless
And we watch
It makes its journey from the clouds above
A life that begins meaningless
And we watch
It speeds towards the inevitable
Some touching down sooner than others
And we watch
Seeing our lives
In the chaos
In the stillness
In the coldness
of a quiet snowfall
