"Not my best work, but hey, it is something."
Prisoner - A Short Story
There I was.Just standing there in the middle of a room with no doors, no windows, nothing.
No way to escape.
As I looked around my surroundings, I realized what was happening.
I was a prisoner.
I wasn't sure how I got here, who had imprisoned me, but I knew that it must not be good.
I hadn't done any wrong, I was just an average person living an average life. Went to school, got decent grades, went to work afterwards, got home late, repeat. Nothing out of the ordinary.
I paced around the room, a feeling of insecurity suddenly came over me, causing the room to feel smaller. 'Stay. Calm.' I thought to myself. 'Everything will be okay.'
It was as if the room was getting smaller and I was getting bigger, it was horrid.
I let out a scream.
A yell.
A shout.
Nobody heard me, nobody came, nobody here to save me.
I'm just an average teenage male, I couldn't think of anything I had done wrong. It. Was. Not. Fair.
I passed out, and that's all I could remember after I awoke back in my bed at home, where I belong.
