Babaar, Dumbo, the Colonel in the Jungle Book, and I'm sure there are other famous make-believe elephants. What is it about elephants that make them capture our imagination???

Elephants are slow, smart, loving creatures. They actually weep when tragedy strikes, and someone wrote a book about it. Why do drunks see pink elephants? Maybe it's because elephants have insight into that world that the drunk enters when problems are categorized into logical areas like love, death, survival and territorial conflicts.

Somehow they know it matters that the bones are grouped together. How do they know that?
