Hiking with Mommy and Daddy
We hiked all morning long, and I am tired. I like to run and play, but walking uphill through the woods for four hours isn't much fun. Mommy and daddy promise that when we reach the top, it'll be worth it.So, I keep going. Then we come out of the trees, and all I can see is rocks and little bushes. And it's very cold up here. Mommy makes me put my jacket on now, and that's a little better, but I still want to go home.
It looks like we're at the top, but daddy says it's a "false peak", and we still have to keep hiking. I'm starting to think that nothing would make this worth it. I think mommy and daddy are lying to me.
A half hour later we come up over the top of another peak and I say to daddy, "This is another false peak, right?"
Daddy says, "No honey, this is the real thing. We're here!"
That's when I knew mommy and daddy were lying to me. There is no Pizza Hut up here.
