Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction
The following is a piece of writing submitted by Evelyn-Grace on August 18, 2008
"I wrote this poem a few years ago. It was not long after my great-grandmother, whom I was quite close to died. As I thought about her life I decided to compare her view of life with that of many other older people. She was an amazing Christian woman whom is now very happy, I am sure, to be beyond that "dawn" with her Savior."
Seasons
When the gentle grasses growOne will want the summer show.
But, when Autum brings her kiss,
One will wish for sweet spring bliss.
When the frost begins to show,
Will you only think of snow?
Why think on this thing ahead
As you face your broken bed.
Though you face it day to day
Death is not the final way.
But instead let's think upon
Life that lies beyond the dawn.
