Magical Bread That Floats and Doesn't Get Soggy
I hope you'll not be offendedWhen I say you're a piece of bread
That I've thrown out onto the water
And given up, wholly, for dead
I think that you would be delicious
And it's not like I'm not all that hungry
It's just that it isn't quite mealtime
And my current plate still isn't empty
So out on the water I toss you
Sadly watch you drift away
Yet, if no other starving soul claims you
Maybe you'll drift back to my shore one day
