climbers moment
Raising a cloud of chalk as the adroit climber takes turn patting each his scared and bleeding hands on his tatty shorts, casing the never ending wall of granite, he clears the excess and takes a second to calm his mind. The warm Fall sun brazens the back of his neck and arms while the wind chaps his lips and whips a feeling of serenity and helps relax him for that brief moment as he pauses standing tenuously in traction.
Feeling as though for an instant he is caught in a pickle of what to-do the climber strains his forearms to the point of exploding while wearisomely keeping his thoughts gathered and focused.
While in his predicament he has a vestige of profound clarity and not wanting to be like the possum playing dead on the road, he takes a deep breath, narrows his focus and moves tenuously with grace and power to the next diminutive hold, high above the sunny Fall valley floor.
