"Some days I want to grow up and get on with life all at once and other days I want to stay a kid and not have to worry about things..."
Mysteries of the Future
If I grew up in just one dayI can't imagine what you'd say
I'm not sure if you'd know it's me
I'd like to know what I will be
Will I be tall? Will I succeed?
Or will I be another weed?
Will I have reached my greatest goal?
Or will I fall into a hole?
If I grew up, what would I do?
And would I have the same size shoe?
I'd like to know if I survive
Or off the deep end do I dive?
Would I miss out on childhood?
I'm not sure if I really should
I'm not quite sure I want to know
What happens to me when I grow
So I'll stay here and wonder on
At what is coming with the dawn
I'll watch life with my own two eyes
And let it be a big surprise.~
