Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction

The following is a piece of writing submitted by joonmymoon on March 30, 2010
"March brought so many occasions for me that it totally beat us up with preparations and everything. One of our close friends got married and i was asked to sing.So there!"
The stampede that is March
I felt vibrations from February’s calm dust bed,Looked up and saw March stampeding ahead.
Like the Wildebeests that ran over Pride Rock’s mighty king,
Occasions were coming at me fast as a summer’s fling.
Bang, Stomp, Thud, Crack goes my poor little body,
March comes laughing at me like wicked Scar’s hyena buddy.
“I can keep up with you!” I proudly say,
But the Wildebeests beat me up like they were in their heyday.
Exhausted, bruised and broken, I manage to find shoes,
To go with the peach dress I'm wearing to sing the blues.
“March, you can’t be stampeding all over me!
I’ll sing my way right into Pride Rock, you’ll see!”
