At the Dollar Store
At the Dollar Store(A parody of the first four stanzas of "A Psalm of Life")
Tell me not in scournful numbers,
This is but an awesome dream.
For the soul this place never cumbers.
And things are as cheap as they seem.
Just a buck! Just a dollar!
And I am on a role!
So many deals within the squaler,
A lot for a little is the goal.
More money I'll not borrow,
My joy I cannot convey.
I'll have much more by tomorrow
Just a dollar for each I'll pay.
Some would say I am cheating.
About this store I still must rave.
For my budget I am meeting.
And much money I do save.
