Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction
The following is a piece of writing submitted by Daisy on March 31, 2009
"Would you like a year of spring?"
Everlasting spring
Without winter there would be no springBut oh, wouldn’t it be tempting
To look everyday on a sky of blue
Walk on grass covered in cool dew
To breathe air ever fresh and sweet
Watch ducklings waddle past your feet
To see tulips in multihued blooms
Spread their rainbow over winter’s gloom
To feel the returning sun’s loving kiss
Have hope for life’s potential bliss
To hear the songs of birds in trees
And the buzz of foraging bumble bees
I, for one, would love a year of spring
Of joy and youth everlasting
Never to age, to turn gray or dull
But to live my life ever bright and full
