Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction

The following is a piece of writing submitted by 'Chelle on December 9, 2009
"I really woke up the other day and thought I was looking at a black and white picture - the sky was white. the trees were gray. the white garage with black roof, was all i could see..."
Monochrome
I woke to eyes that seea world in black and white
and though i rubbed them hard
could not restore to sight
hues i'm accustomed to.
Monochromatic world -
sky and trees white and gray
black roof on which snow twirled
All black and gray and white
melt into white and gray
and whiteness hour by hour
is seen to win the day.
The dusk is falling now
and finally a hue
spread beyond my window:
white has become blue.
