The Sign
As I sit here in this quiet placeSurrounded by books galore,
I glance at the sign at my right
Bright orange wins my attention.
It was meant to be that way, you see
With an exclamation point on top
To warn me of things I ought not do
and things I might forget.
Thou pretty sign, you speak to me
With earnestness in your tone.
I will never forget your words to me,
For you help me everyday.
Each emboldened word echos in my ears:
Lab Computers will NOT save you document!
Oh, thank you! Thank you, for reminding me
To use my flash drive.
