Placebo Effect
Bottoms up!He reluctantly swallowed yet another capsule.
Sending it along on its hopeful mission
with a glass more than half full of expectancy.
Meandering its way through
all the gray muddled mass and murkiness,
it faithfully continues its journey
carrying its precious and potentially healing contents
within sweetened gel walls.
Through the sordid paths of destruction
that downed the once beautiful
and booming metropolis called Brain City,
it weaves its own consequences.
We eagerly anticipate the rebuilding
and await with longing the grand opening.
In the meantime, he frantically stumbled
across the unsafe carpet towards the bathroom.
