Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction

"These lyrics definitely are rather ambiguous. When I was writing them, I wasn't necessarily sure myself what exactly I was writing about, and to some extent, I am still not. If that makes any sense. Haha. I believe, like much of what I write, the ambiguity and undefined context works well, as it allows one to come to his or her own conclusion. At it's heart though, it really does display the theme of being "reborn" into a new state of mind, in order to stand against that which conflicts someone. What does it mean to you?"
Second Dawn
I stand, sober and awakeVacant eyes cling to dirt
All around, men seal my fate
Ready, my breath to purge
From swollen tongues
Curses like venom come
Boldly spewing forth
Kiss, the final embrace
You know it’s time my dear
I only wish I could remain
But that’s not how it works here
From swollen tongues
Curses like venom come
Boldly spewing forth
Beneath this blood red sun
They’re soon undone
At the hands of the second born
So rise up, and meet them first
Hail the glow, at the dawn of second birth
