"These are really incomplete resolutions, since it would take days and days to write all I think I should resolve. They are just the few that came to mind in five minutes."
A Resolution
I resolve to breach the boundariesto fight, heaving, hoping,
to make each day sharp and new.
I resolve that these hands,
these fingers and eyes and limbs,
bounding, beating heart and mind
will walk these unbeaten paths of will
until they are familiar, beloved,
and mastered.
I resolve to rest, in the mind of the beholder
as something bright and deep and knowing.
I resolve never to forget you,
to stray from you
the ones who call my name.
