"I love the beach and I always kick myself for not taking advantage of how close I live to it. Yesterday I put aside books and the computer and put on my sneakers instead. "
Full Moon
Silent sea birds like top sails fly very highAloft and above the lower clouds.
The red sun sets,
Reflects in the the myriad hotel windows.
And you, having crossed the drawbridge by now,
Have planted your feet in the sand,
And witnessed the seagulls scouring.
Two little girls are out of control
And rolling around in the sand.
Meanwhile Dad smiles,
Happy to let them get out of hand.
The life guard tower is deserted but
A squadron of respectable looking pelicans does a fly over.
If the Super Bowl is next week
Then what does all this mean?
It's easy to see
The wind has made
A vast etching
Of the sea.
