Faded Solo

As a child, I didn't have too many friends,
But one day, I lost my contact lens.
All the people at school could not have been faker,
And my contact lens was stuck to a salt-shaker!
My near-sightedness kind of made me lazy,
And people at school kind of thought I was crazy!
Maybe I was a little crazy since birth,
But I never planned to be released unto Earth!
I was quarrelsome with my teachers at school,
But in the end, I was the class fool!
An outage of anger always exploding,
People's negativty so foreboding!
Some people picture childhood like a sundae with a cherry,
I have to say mine was pretty scary!
Someone would hit me, and I'd hear a thud,
But at least there wouldn't be any blood.
The days of my childhood weren't always pleasent,
And feeling seasick would describe the essence...
A sea of faces of people I knew
I survived, as one of the fortunate few
A lot of people I know didn't last as long
Like the faded solo on a rock 'n' roll song.
