Trip to canada

I am actually taking a vacation with my mom and dad soon..we are visiting relatives and then going to canada for 7 days. some people might think it's no fun to travel with mom and dad(my dad just turned 72, my mom 71, and I'm 40.
But I'm grateful my parents are still alive and i have a good relationship with them, so now is the time to make memories while i still got a chance. I know a lot of people think it's not cool to hang out with your parents, but I'm 40 and I have my own apartment and I cherish my independence. I realize my parents are aging and so am I, and so i respect them now, because as a teenager i was kind of a rotten kid and put them through a lot of hell, so I continue to make a living amends.
Something sad happened right by their house over the weekend, three teenagers were driving, perhaps drunk, at 3 in the morning, and they crashed into a tree and the car was split in half and 2 out of 3 kids died, the other kid went to the hospital. my mother said, "Some father's day present that must have been, how sad," and I'm sure the parents will grieve for life. So as i get older I appreciate the wisdom of my parents, and i'll be happy to take a vacation with them.
