My mother

Shakesperian sonnet

my mom got cancer, in recent days,
But she has been completely upbeat.
The cancer is more than just a phase,
but it seems it is starting to retreat.
My mother is known for godly ways,
People have prayed for cancer's defeat.
Cancer can be like a giant maze,
She's lost weight, no appetite to eat.
Prayers answered, and people are amazed,
Death is something hard to cheat.
God is worthy of some praise,
He's the only entity elite.
I love the mother, she's the best,
I pray for my family, during this test.
