Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction

"I was a member of Evanston writers workshop and the leader quit. I was asked to step in and I did. Now as it turns out me might need to find a new location. One thing is always sure in life;change, whether good or bad."

I took over the Evanston writer's workshop,
when Amanda decided that she was done.
I wondered if it would turn out to be a flop,
Now that i was the chosen one.
i hoped I wouldn't have to be a cop,
censoring people like a virtous nun.
A new group showed up and we didn't stop,
Under my leadership it was fun.
But now the location is closing our shop,
We're getting kicked out-what have i done?
In 2013 I want to be on top,
and on New year's eve I won't shoot a gun.
I don't care much about new year's eve,
but this year i'll do things people won't believe!
