Ice Castles

The wind speaks in hushed tones
What brings those calls here?
So soft they come to us
The bitterness dwelling inside

May they be soft or harsh
We know our feelings well
Can you not see them?
Through those eyes of glass

Windows to our very souls
Our eyes betray us greatly
Its like no other can say
For our actions speak loudly

Who of us can hide our feelings?
No one unless they have a mask
A mask so deep and stoneful
that his very heart is of ice

Which is better then to say?
To let emotions show raw as wind
Or to hide them away in domains
That are locked far away in ice castles
