ru-ru-ru-ru-rumble rumble roar!
sha-sha thwap! sha-sha thwap! sha-sha thap!

Line 1: the noise of tires on wet pavement
Line 2: windshield wipers on lowest setting
Line 3 & 4: increasing rain
Line 5: windshield wipers on higher setting
Line 6: thunder and deluge
Line 7: windshield wipers on highest setting
Line 8 & 9: decreasing rain
Line 10: windshield wipers on lowest setting
