From Darkness to Light
I resolve in a strange and unusual way:From the darkness to light and from nighttime to day.
From despair and despondence to happiest cheer,
I bring such a brightness to each listener's ear.
And in case you don't know, or if you've never heard,
I'm a classic device called a Picardy Third.
