Trinity
Enthroned above the circle of the earth,He guards the world entire in strength and might,
Presiding, kingly, over death and birth -
E'en tiny sparrows tumbling from their flight.
Entrenched within the bleakness of this sphere,
Hands rough and callused from unending grind,
Determined strength against each strife and fear,
And sacrificial love for weak mankind.
A quiet whisper on encircling breeze,
He groans with every sorrow life imparts;
Determined wind that sways uncertain trees
Instills His wisdom on the wave-tossed heart.
And if through fathers we know God the best,
Then I, it seems, have been most truly blessed.
