Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction
The following is a piece of writing submitted by Douglas on October 27, 2010
"Roads in Maine and roads in New York give you vastly different perspectives..."
Up and Down
The twisting roads in Maine wind round-about,Between the rolling hill and mountain top;
Pragmatic builders took the lowest ground,
So those who share the roads look ever up.
Not so the roads in hilly New York state;
Quixotic builders dreamed on grander scale
And carved their roads into the highest hills
So we look down on sweet pastoral vale.
