Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction
Year-Round
Winter makes it feel so cold,And holding your hand is sometimes the only thing that keeps me warm.
Winter makes rain fall as snow,
And you are there to shelter me from the violent, raging storm.
Spring makes lambs sing melodies,
And the hum of your voice is the sweetest song in the world to me.
Spring makes flowers burst to bloom,
And the shine in your eyes is the sun that we both need to grow and to see.
Summer makes the sky glow blue,
And the brown in your eyes echoes the bark on the young, rustling trees.
Summer makes the ice cream melt,
And you help me with my poems as my ice cream drips on my bare knees.
Autumn makes the leaves wither,
And they crunch under your feet as we walk together down the road.
Autumn makes me start to shiver,
And you hold my hand as we walk together in the growing cold.
