Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction
The following is a piece of writing submitted by Laura on August 2, 2008
Memories
In the small and scattered spacesthat exist between the places
which composed my mental map of life -
I sometimes found a way
To recall so many faces
which then resurrected traces
of encounters stored in memory,
I thought time could not allay.
And yet, as years pick up the pace,
and every image is misplaced,
the ones that I would love to reach
have simply gone too far.
So please, don't hold back your embrace,
just favor me with morning grace -
I'm very sure that I will love you
once I remember who you are.
