Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction
The following is a piece of writing submitted by gabemay on February 25, 2010
"This poem, I believe, almost any poet can relate to. It is just common ground for those who truly express themselves through poetry. For the strongest poetry, is the most personal poetry. "

I sit in a chair
Typing away my thoughts
My conscious splattered across a page
My emotions woven through words
Love is aroused
And I type about love
And its complications
And simplicities
Hate then knocks
And I answer
By typing furiously
Of the authenticity of human nature
Peace gracefully flies into my heart
And I let
Thoughts gently whisper through my fingers
Onto a page
Memories basically
Lessons
Maturity
Immaturity
Thoughts
All evident through mere words
And then suddenly
I can’t type anymore
Because there is a calm in my mind
So I stop
And a poem is created
