Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction
To the American Artist and Everybody Else
A withered culture crumblesArt transformed, its value tumbles
What is art nowadays?
Is it random videos gone astray?
From the true expression
Of our culture, our reflection
Where does the artist stand
In this withering cultured land?
Will art ever be regained?
Will its value ever be sustained?
For I see a vast portrait;
Colors in which I can relate
Colors of somber from the heart
Colors shared by those who love art
Where have our values gone?
Into technology's dawn?
For everything I knew is but fading
And I am here just wading
The art of life is starved
As society's intersts are carved
By modern advancements that confuse
What do you see as your muse?
For I see a whithered culture tumbling
Art transformed, its value crumbling
