Memories of Past

Memories of Past.
Memories of Ancient.
Time slipped by fast,
And is no longer patient.
Time now a whirl,
As you slowly mature.
Memories as precious as a pearl
Or diamonds or rubies conjure.
In your mind you view your life.
Learn from the past they say,
But I say laugh too, don't let that knife
Of lies come your way.
Relish in joy as you examine
Let God heal the wounds.
Don't lead your heart into famine,
Then peace will come
With memories of Past.
