Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction

Bade Farewell
Bade farewell to your life,The one that you know.
Wave your hands, throw the hat,
And flow in your robes.
And know...
A future awaits.
What has been left behind,
Trust me, you'll find
It again.
In the cold cubicles,
In your nation's uniform,
In the glistering sun of a farm field,
Underneath a greasy car,
In the store, or a restaurant,
In the overcrowded college class,
In the lifeguard's stand,
In the pristine courtroom.
You will find it again.
Yet farewell to the life
you now know.
The comfortablaties are gone.
And you are a graduate.
A graduate.
The intro is over,
And Act One has yet to commence.
