"It isn't really a paragraph, but I wrote it for my dad because I really admire him."
A Father
A father is a special manHe tells you things that no one else can
He tells you jokes to make you smile
He’ll even sit and talk a while
He’s always there to lend a hand
He’ll show you how to take a stand
(or how to build a hunting stand)
His stories may be great and tall
But you love them though you’ve heard them all
There’re lessons only he can teach
And for each one he’s got a speech
It pays to listen to him and not just hear
He’s got so much knowledge to impart it only grows each year
He’ll always love you with all his heart
As much at the end as at the start
And even if you make him mad
Because you’ve done something quite bad
He will punish you and make you blue
But he will not turn away from you
He’ll still love you and he’ll stick around
And help you get your feet back on solid ground
All these things are why I’m glad
To have the luck to call you dad
